# Gridrank

> Gridrank is a Google Maps rank tracker. It runs the same Google Maps search from a grid of points around a business and records the business's rank at each point, so you see where it ranks across its whole area instead of from one spot. Pricing is flat and monthly, per tracked keyword, with no credits.

Gridrank is for local businesses and for the local SEO agencies and freelancers that serve them. Agencies use it for monthly client reports, for scanning a prospect before a sales call, and for showing whether their work widened the area where a client ranks in the top 3. It works for any business with a public Google Maps listing, without access to its Google Business Profile.

## How a geo-grid scan works

- A grid of points is laid over the area around the business, from 3×3 to 9×9 points, spaced 250 m to 5 km apart.
- Each point is a live Google Maps search run from that coordinate through a licensed SERP data provider. The top 20 results are recorded at every point.
- The map colours each point: green for ranks 1 to 3, amber for 4 to 10, red for 11 to 20, grey when the business is not in the top 20.
- Average rank is the mean position across all points, with points outside the top 20 counted as 21. Top-3 share is the percentage of points where the business is in the top 3. Coverage is the percentage of points where it appears at all.
- Each scan lists the competitors that hold the top 3 across the grid. Clicking any pin shows the top 3 businesses Google returned at that exact spot, with its coordinates.
- Countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland.

## Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars. Every paid plan has a 7-day free trial. Cancel any time in Settings.

- Free: $0 a month. 1 tracked keyword, manual scans only, no weekly scans, 5 on-demand scans a month, grids up to 5×5, shareable report links.
- Starter: $19 a month. 30 tracked keywords, every tracked keyword scanned automatically each week, 50 on-demand scans a month, grids up to 7×7, shareable report links.
- Pro: $79 a month. 100 tracked keywords, every tracked keyword scanned automatically each week, 200 on-demand scans a month, grids up to 9×9, white-label client reports.
- Agency: $199 a month. 300 tracked keywords, every tracked keyword scanned automatically each week, 400 on-demand scans a month, grids up to 9×9, white-label client reports.

A tracked keyword is one business and keyword pair, so "dentist" for two clinics counts as two. On-demand scans are the ones you start yourself, and the allowance resets on the 1st of each month. A scan that fails on Gridrank's side or the data provider's does not count against the allowance. You get an email when a tracked keyword moves.

## How Gridrank differs from credit-based tools

- Credit-based tools such as Local Falcon charge one credit per grid point, so a 7×7 scan costs 49 credits. Local Falcon credits on monthly plans expire at the end of each month, and credits on annual plans roll over until the year ends.
- Gridrank charges for the keywords you track. Weekly scans of those keywords are included, and every paid plan adds a monthly allowance of on-demand scans.
- Grid points a month at full use, from Local Falcon's public pricing page on 18 October 2026 and assuming every Gridrank keyword runs weekly on the plan's largest grid with every on-demand scan used:

- For about $200 a month, Local Falcon Premium gives 63,150 points and Gridrank Agency gives 137,700. Local Falcon credits can be spent any way you like, while Gridrank points come as weekly scans of tracked keywords.
- Local Falcon white-label reports come only with Premium ($199.99 a month). Gridrank includes them from Pro.
- Where Local Falcon is ahead: grids up to 21×21 (Gridrank goes up to 9×9), Apple Maps and AI visibility tracking, AI-written reports, and credits that can be spent on any grid.
